Course Reflection

Course Reflection When I first time have this class, it was my first course about culture in my experience of education. It is a course connect our life and it is helpful to the skill of critical thinking. Also there is no doubt that use a mirror to explain the relationship between human and culture. The culture was not only created by human but also affect people. It is a flexible circle developing in many years. At the beginning of the semester, I had no idea what was pop culture and I thought that pop culture just was most of people wanted to do and share. In fact, pop culture is changing our lives. From most of company of culture coming out these year, I know that people cost pop culture is a big business in the world now. It is big cake of business of pop culture. People would like to spend money on it including pop music, movie and fashion. In China, when I prepared my culture presentation, I knew that the production of pop culture create a huge number of money. Webcast company and short video company play a important role in development of pop culture in these years. In America, it is also the same situations are working. Pop culture is very connected with our lives. I have been changed when I know something knew in the class. In my opinion, pop culture is not just most of people doing at one time but also is a symbol of human development. When I came to United States, I felt that this was place accepting different culture from all over the world. I tried to listen hip-hop music and some popular music which are I never listen before in China. I tried to know more about the history of pop culture in United States. I usually started the traditional culture in China. The students just focus what is traditional culture. In these class is really helpful for me to know the culture development in these several years. Also I have more specific knowledge about what is different between American and Chinese by my presentation about my culture.I realize that pop culture is standing for the things coming with the society. I learn to accept different culture. What’s more, pop culture is developed by different culture. From the development of music I know that new things come out when two different things meet.Nowadays, with the development of media and internet technology, it becomes a way to connect people from all over the world. People can share and study from different cultures. In my opinion, sharing is a best way to development. If people do not share what they thing, what they learn, what they want, pop culture would not happened. Also, smart phone development provides people to touch and share in time. Time is key word of pop culture. If the hot things could not be shared or exploded in the important time. These things would not be become pop culture. In the time before people did not have internet technology, people just share things by books, letter and songs. It was really hard for people to have pop culture at that time. From the past, I know that technology is a way for people to create pop culture and show pop culture. What's more, I realize that even though technology is an important part of a pop culture, it will easily to have a damage to the traditional culture. People are easily to forget the traditional things. It is easier to have some bad information for the younger people. In end of class, I find that the best way to know pop culture is that reading, thinking, seeking, doing and reflecting. These are how pop culture coming from human. These are our lives.

Reflection Critical Insight At the first part of the Unit 2, from the reading of the text. I learned the pop culture was created by most of people and it has a specific signal in that time. It is not the things are kept in the long time.The four elements of popular culture are changed by people for different reasons. What’s more, from the facts about the William Shakespeare, I had known that the pop culture could be developed by the old things which might do not show up for the long time.
